Music

Sometimes simple words don’t come through to us the way they are meant to, but when you put them to a melody, it breaks the barrier of our mind and touches our heart. It’s amazing how certain sounds put together can have such a powerful effect on a person.

Has anyone heard of an artist called Vandaveer? He’s not all that well known, but he’s a wonderful musician. He is a folk artist, and has a very different and distinctive sound, but it’s absolutely wonderful! He tells stories to a tune and the first time I heard him I wasn’t sure what to think, but the more I hear, the more I appreciate his work. Don’t just take my word for it, check him out!

Do I have any fellow Emery lovers on the web today? If you aren’t yet, you will be! They’re an amazingly talented band, and if you like harder music you might like them, now I’m not talking death metal or anything, but they do have a bit of screaming sometimes. But if you go for the softer stuff, they’re good too, well, if you listen to their acoustic stuff. Any ways, you should check them out no matter what kind of music you like.

Although I enjoy a lot of current bands, nothing will ever replace my unending love for the Beatles. I mean, those guys were geniuses, stoned half the time if not more, but still geniuses. Oh, how I do love the Beatles! Yesterday, The Long and Winding Road, Come Together (I think that’s the name), Hey Jude, I love it all!!!!

If you have a band that you particularly like that is Christian or simply acceptable, please post a comment and a link that will allow me and anyone else who wants to to hear their stuff. Or if you have some lyrics to a song that you like, post them and a link to that song if you can.

    Thank you!
